A fine Swiss gold, enamel and diamond-set open faced verge pendant watch, circa 1775. Matte gilt full plate movement, cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, three armed brass balance, flat balance spring, pierced and engraved continental balance cock with polished steel endplate, silver regulation dial. White enamel dial with Roman hours, outer dot minute divisions, outermost Arabic five-minute numerals and original pierced gold hands. A Louis XV case, the back decorated with a polychrome enamel scene of Venus and Cupid in a garden at the altar of love, blue and white enamel leaf border, the bezel with engraved repeat pattern and set with rose cut diamonds. Dial and movement signed.
