A fine and attractive French gold, enamel and pearl-set pendant watch with matching chatelaine, circa 1780. Matte gilt full plate movement, Ø 26 mm, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, continental balance cock with a polished steel endplate, silvered regulation dial. White enamel dial with Roman hours, outer dot minute divisions and Arabic five-minute numerals, gold beetle & poker hands. A polychrome enamel scene depicting a lady in classical costume with a floral urn in a landscape on the case back, a translucent royal blue enamel border and pearl-set outer border, the hinged and sprung bezel is set with pearls, a rope-twist band. Dial signed. Comes with a gold, enamel and pearl-set chatelaine with key and seal en suite.
