Silver pair-cased verge watch

A fine English silver pair-cased verge pocket watch, circa 1710. Gilt brass movement, divided Egyptian pillars, fusee and chain with worm and wheel set-up, verge escapement, three-arm steel balance with flat balance spring, pierced and engraved balance cock with streamers, silver regulation disc. Silver champlevé dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five-minute numerals, centre with lion and unicorn signature cartouches beneath a crown, pierced gilt hands. Polished outer case, inner case polished, split bezel, shuttered winding aperture, loose ring pendant. Dial and movement signed.
