Gold enamelled keyless lever dress watch

A very fine, elegant and thin French 18 carat gold and enamel keyless Belle Epoque dress watch made by Cartier in Paris, circa 1910. Rhodium plated movement with Geneva striping decoration, 18 jewels, a straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring and an index regulator. Champagne coloured sunburst engine turned dial with Arabic hour numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and original blued steel Breguet hands. The case back is decorated with translucent blue enamel on a guilloché ground with a central diamond set foliate rosette, the bezel with white enamel inlay, the front bezel and bow are decorated to match. Dial signed, numbered on the case.
