Silver lever deck watch with indirect centre seconds by Ulysse Nardin

A fine Swiss silver indirect centre seconds keyless lever deck chronometer, circa 1939. Sold to the British Royal Navy. Frosted gilt movement, 21 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, anibal-brass Guillaume balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with terminal curve and swan neck micrometer regulator. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute and seconds ring with fifths of a second divisions, original blued steel spade hands. Massive, polished case, bezel without glass, screwed back with milled border, engraved with the Navy Registration mark and Glasgow import Hallmarks for 1939. Accompanied by the original two tier mahogany deck box, the brass bowl with glazed screwed down bezel. Dial, case and movement signed, deck box signed and with Hydrographic Services reference numbers.
