A fine Swiss silver open faced keyless lever deck chronometer made for the Kriegsmarine (German Navy), circa 1939. Retailed by Andreas Huber, München-Berlin. Frosted gilt movement, 23 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, the upper pivots of the escape wheel and the lever with gold endplates, anibal-brass Guillaume balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with terminal curve, swan neck micrometer regulator. Hinged silver cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and original blued steel spade hands. Polished case, the back engraved with the Kriegsmarine emblem and M3621, I.KI. Dial, case and movement signed, case numbered.
