A very fine, rare and large Swiss 18 carat rose gold hunting cased minute repeating keyless lever split seconds chronograph pocket watch, circa 1880. Retailed by Brillmann & Co, London. Rhodium plated movement, Geneva Striping decoration, 31 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band, visible chronograph mechanism. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer minute track and seconds divisions, red painted Arabic five minute/seconds numerals, subsidiary seconds and original blued steel spade hands. plainHeavy polished case. Gold hinged cuvette, glazed gold rimmed cover to view the movement. Cuvette signed by retailer.
