This watch has a high grade finish and an escapement, balance and balance spring intended for high precision adjustment. This is quite an unusual feature in a watch with chronograph and repeating mechanisms because these functions inherently affect the timekeeping of the watch adversely and therefore such watches are not usually made as high precision timekeepers.

The firm of C.L. Weidemann registered its name in 1883 with a trade mark for horological products of its own make.
