Decorated gilt metal verge watch by Henry Perier

A fine English gilt metal and enamel pair cased verge pocket watch, circa 1730. Gilt brass full plate movement with square baluster pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain three armed brass balance, flat balance spring, silver regulator scale, pierced and engraved gilt brass cock. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer dot minute divisions and outermost Arabic five minute numerals, original blued steel beetle and poker hands. Gilt metal outer case, decoratedpoly on the bezel and back with engraving, the back set with a gold panel decorated with blue flowers and green foliage over an engraved ground, the inner case polished, deep back. Movement signed.
