A very fine Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced keyless lever dress watch, circa 1960. Gilt movement, oeil-de-perdrix decoration, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating flat balance spring, Incabloc shock absorber, micrometre regulator. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute divisions and 24-hour numerals, subsidiary seconds and original blued steel spade hands. Polished case, curved band, the back finely painted on enamel with a portrait of a lady holding cupid in the style of a 17th-century Dutch old master, signed WCF. Dial signed Peugeot, case signed Aéro Watch.
