A fine and rare Swiss gold and pearl set navette shaped pendant watch, circa 1810. An ogival full plate brass movement, 17 x 29 mm, a fixed barrel with separate plate, cylinder escapement and an overhanging plain three arm balance. Translucent dark blue enamel with engraved gold flowers on the front, in the lower half a small white enamel dial with Arabic numerals and outer minute divisions for the time indication, above the subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands. The polished, navette shaped case with a pearl set bezel, the band with four screws, the back with a sliding shutter plate over the winding and hand setting apertures. Comes with a late 19th century gold mounted black ribbon fob.
