A very fine and rare Swiss centre seconds keyless lever split-seconds chronograph deck watch in a mahogany box, circa 1940s. A high-quality matte gilt movement with 18 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, brass-invar Guillaume balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil and an index regulator. A painted cream enamel dial with Arabic 24-hours, outer minute divisions with Arabic five-minute numerals and blued steel poire hands. Rectangular mahogany box, the movement set on a hinged black dial plate, buttons for the split-seconds chronograph and time setting, a large winding crown. Dial and box signed and numbered, movement numbered.
