Gold quarter repeating verge watch

A very fine, large English, quarter repeating vari coloured 18 Carat gold pair cased pocket watch, circa 1815. Made for the Islamic market. The back is decorated with a two handled urn with flowers in relief, flower and leaf border and bezel, a polished inner case and the band pierced and engraved with flowers and foliage. White enamel dial with radial Islamic numerals, outer dot minute divisions and Islamic five minute numerals. Blued steel Breguet hands.

A frosted gilt full plate movement, cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, three arm brass balance, flat balance spring, foliate engraved balance cock and backplate furniture, silver regulation dial, repeating on a bell activated by depressing the pendant. Dial and movement signed. Cases numbered.
