Johann Michael Pergauer (also Bergauer)
Pergauer was born in Vienna around 1717 and became a master in 1757. He was clockmaker to the court in Vienna circa 1770; in 1771 his proposal of establishing a clock manufactory was rejected. In 1780 the imperial court awarded Pergauer the sum of 150gulden for a metal stamping machine. Pergauer died in 1791.
