Edward Banger (circa 1668-1720) was apprenticed to Thomas Tompion in 1687 and became free of the Clockmakers Company in 1695. Tompion and Banger worked together from around 1701 until 1708 when the partnership was abruptly (and somewhat mysteriously) terminated.
