An English 18 carat gold hunting cased minute repeating keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1920. Gilt finished 3/4 plate lever movement engraved with Honor cyphers, some jewels carried in screwed gold chatons, bimetallic compensation balance with gold poising screws, minute repeating on two gongs activated by a slide in the band. Gold cuvette. Cream enamel dial, Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Plain case, turning pendant, raised push. Dial and movement signed, case stamped with maker’s mark ‘RN’ for Robert North and London date letter for 1920, bow stamped ‘CH’.
