Gold minute repeater with one minute tourbillon and up/down indicator

A fine and extremely rare English 18 carat gold open faced minute repeating keyless lever pocket watch with one minute tourbillon and up-and-down indicator, circa 1899. Gilt finished 3/4 plate chain fusee movement, some jewels carried in screwed gold chatons, three armed Nielsen type 1 tourbillon carriage with double roller lever escapement and cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold poising screws, blued steel balance spring, minute repeating on two gongs activated by a slide in the band. Gold cuvette. Off-white dial, Roman numerals, two subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds and up-and-down. Heavy polished case, turning pendant and five bar knuckle, raised push. Dial and movement signed, bow stamped ‘CJ’, case stamped ‘SS’ and with London date mark for 1899.
