A Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced quarter repeating verge watch, circa 1750. Full plate gilt finished verge movement, chain fussé, engraved and pierced balance cock, quarter repeating on a bell, activated through the pendant, silvered regulator dial. White enamel dial with Roman numerals. Tri-colour gold case, the back engraved with gilt floral motif and red enamel florets, the central zone with polychrome enamel idyllic landscape with a lady and cherub, the rim with black and white enamel geometric design, sound holes, the bezel set with paste. Dial and movement signed, movement numbered.
