A rare and attractive Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced keyless lever pendant watch with matching brooch, circa 1897. Retailed by Spaulding & Co., Chicago. Nickel finished mechanical jewelled lever movement, wolf’s tooth winding. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals and Louis XV hands. Case with hinged back centered with yellow, green and brown enamel motif in the form of a chestnut leaf, design extends over the the bezel, the case back pierced to allow light through.poly Comes with associated gold brooch with matching yellow, green and brown enamel floral motif with gilt accents. Case, dial and movement signed by watchmaker, cuvette and movement signed by retailer, case and movement numbered.
