A fine English 18 carat gold open faced keywound pocket chronometer, circa 1816. Gilt brass full plate movement, chain fusée, Earnshaw spring detent escapment, Z balance with helical hairspring with terminal curves. Gold cuvette inscribed Sir Edmund Nagle K.C.B. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Plain case, milled band, hinged case back. Dial and movement signed, case and cuvette stamped FH, London date letter for 1816.
