An extremely rare Danish double dialed hunting cased pocket watch with second time zone, circa 1860. Probably an exhibit for the “Great London Exposition” at the year 1862
18 carat gold, engine turned, à goutte case with reeded band, case maker’s punch mark “CS” and the interior of the back cover with engraving: “London Exhibition 1862”. Two dials: first dial Enamel with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds and blued Breguet hands; second dial on reverse side: enamel chapter ring with radial Roman gothic-style numerals, skeletonized centre and “Fleur de Lys” hands. Bridge movement, ébauche: Piguet Frères, rhodium-plated, with “fausses côtes” decoration, screw compensation balance and counterpoised lever.
