Full hunter cased watch with center seconds by Jules Jürgensen

A rare, fine Danish full hunter cased pocket watch with “seconde foudroyante”, center seconds and copy of the Jürgensen records, circa 1863.
18 carat gold, engine turned, à goutte case with reeded band engine turned and signed gold dome and pusher to stop seconds. Signed enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, “Seconde Foudroyante”, center seconds and blued Breguet hands. Bridge movement, ébauche: Piguet Frères, signed, nickel plated, with two barrels, tandem winding, gold screw compensation balance and counterpoised lever.

Flashing seconds or seconds foudroyante
A small seconds display in which the second hand completes a full revolution per second . This path is divided into four or five jumps (sections) and thus enables readability of 1/4 or 1/5 seconds.
