An elegant Dutch hunting cased quarter repeating pocket watch, circa 1855.
18 carat gold engine turned case with engraved noble family crest, reeded band, engine turned and florally engraved gold dome with signature, case maker’s punch mark “CS”, presentation engraving on the inner lid and slide for repeating mechanism. White enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds and blued Breguet hands. Bridge movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, with 25 jewels, 2 hammers, 2 gongs and screw compensation balance.
