Paulus Braamer worked in Amsterdam in circa 1720. He partnered with his son Juriaan Braamer. Paulus was probably one of the most productive watchmakers of his time. His first watch dates from 1720. Braamer’s watches were often fitted with enamel by the Huaud brothers. After he died in 1770, his household goods contained fine standing watches. An advertisement of May 1, 1775, announced that the shop would be moved to the Kalverstraat, opposite.
