A Swiss 18 carat rose gold open faced five minute repeating pocket watch made for the American market, circa 1898. Sold to Tiffany & Co., New York, on June 11, 1898. Nickelled silver movement, chronometer balance with weights, adjustable special anker with compensation balance, blued steel Breguet spring with end curve, 2 hammers/2 gongs, index regulation, polished steel parts and screws. White enamel dial, Arabic Breguet numerals, outer minute ring and black steel pear hands. Lépine case with monogram ‘DBVE’. Gold, signed, cuvette. Dial, cuvette and movement signed by retailer. Comes with a Patek Philippe extract from the archives.
