A very fine gold and enamel verge watch with Oriental pearl setting, made in England, circa 1790. The open faced case of this watch, which was crafted from 18 carat gold and enamel, has a very fine quality, a tiny opening button in the band, which opens the front spring lid, an original Oriental pearl setting on both sides and a back lid with fine violet guilloché enamel. The white enamel dial has an outer ring with Arabic five minute numerals, Roman hour numerals and original gold hands and the movement has a high quality English verge movement.
