Gold enamelled pearl set watch for the Chinese market

A splendid, large pocket watch made for the Chinese market by Green & Ward in London, England, circa 1810. The open faced case of this watch, which was crafted from 18 carat gold, has blue engine turned enamel on the back and bezels set with large Oriental pearls on both sides, a further screwed cuvette and a pendant, decorated to match, with an opening button. The white enamel dial has Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track and steel moon hands. The movement has a duplex escapement and diamond end stone.
The cuvette is signed.
