Gold lever watch by Robert Roskell

An 18 carat yellow gold, English guilloché hunting cased pocket watch with key and back winding, circa 1820. This watch features a gadrooned caseband and a cream enamelled dial with Roman numerals. It has a sunk subsidiary dial for constant seconds at six o’clock and Breguet style hands. The movement includes a bimetallic balance with compensation and a lever escapement. The dial is signed Le François – Buenos Ayres, and the movement is engraved Robt Roskell – Liverpool.
