A Swiss 18 carat gold and painted enamel hunting cased key wound pendant watch, circa 1870. The front cover is decorated with a painted on enamel scene of Cupid, the back cover with a painted on enamel scene of the Virgin. An engraved and black champlevé enamel border, hinged gold cuvette with engine turned border. Engraved silver dial with painted radial Roman numerals, outer dot minute divisions, applied gold foliate border and centre and blued steel spade hands. Rhodium plated movement, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, bimetallic balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Movement signed, case numbered.
