Brass chronometer in mahogany box

A French brass key winding chronometer with 54 hour power reserve, made by E. Brasseur in Le Havre, circa 1920. An open faced, keyless, two day going marine chronometer, mounted in a mahogany three body hinged rectangular shaped box with brass name plate. A silvered dial, Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 and one horological complication: 54 hour power reserve indication, sector at 12 o’clock. A full plate movement, pillars, brass, fusee and chain, Earnshaw type spring detent escapement, compensated bimetallic balance, free sprung cylindrical hairspring. Signature on the dial and case.
