A splendid English silver pair-cased repoussé verge pocket watch with date, circa 1778.
Repoussé silver outer case with a mythological figure scene on the back, a smooth inner case with an engraved nobility monogram, a crown and the year 1782 on the back. Silver champlevé dial with Roman hours, Arabic minutes, a central relief of the escutcheon with a crown from the King of England, date indication and gilt hands. Verge movement. Dial signed, movement signed and numbered.
