An early, silver repoussé English spindle watch in double-case, circa 1778.
Double silver case: outer case repoussé; inner case smooth with London hallmarks from 1778 and case maker’s hallmark SP. Signed and numbered spindle mechanism, preload via worm screw. Beautifully preserved enamel dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes track with Arabic five minutes numerals, and probably original steel hands.
