Parkinson & Frodsham, English watch manufacture
In 1801, the chronometer makers William Parkinson and William James Frodsham founded a chronometer factory under the name Parkinson & Frodsham. The company was located at 4 Change Alley, Cornhill, London.

Parkinson and Frodsham mainly concentrated on the manufacture of pocket and marine chronometers. They used, among others, raw works from Johannsen, Poole, Mercer and Gardner. Northern Europe and the USA were among the main sales markets.

Four of Frodsham’s sons learned the watchmaking trade at Parkinson & Frodsham , including Charles and Henry.

Around 1847 William Parkinson retired from the company management. The sons George and William continued the business. Son William leaves the company around 1860, George continues to run it alone until his death in 1873.

After the death of George Parkinson, his son George William takes over the management of the company.

The Parkinson & Frodsham company has been proven to be active until 1947.
