An exquisite, diamond-set English gold enamel hunting cased pocket watch for the Indian market, circa 1874.
18 carat gold case with the front and back cover opaque blue, black and white enamelled, set with diamonds, florally engraved band, gold dome and case maker punch mark “AW”. Gold dial with florally engraved centre, chased border with green gold flower heads, radial Roman hours and blued spade hands. 2/3 plate movement, frosted, gilt, signed, chatoned, with English lever escapement, gold screw compensation balance, fine florally engraved balance cock and diamond endstone on balance.
