A fine English, large, 18 carat gold, enamel and diamond-set pocket watch with centre seconds, circa 1770. A Louis XVI case, paste-set bezel, borders chased with a guilloche pattern, the back set with royal blue guilloche enamel. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five-minute numerals. Fleur de Lys hands. A gilt brass, full plate movement with fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, three-arm brass balance with flat balance spring, diamond set continental cock, silver regulation dial. Dial and movement signed.
