A fine English 18 carat gold open faced key wind Masonic pocket watch with center seconds, Chester Hallmarked for 1862. Finely engraved and chased English lever movement with a cut and compensated bimetallic balance. Skeletonized dial with Roman hours, an outer minute track and Arabic five minute numerals on a silvered surround, blued steel Breguet hands. The polished hinged case with a British coat of arms on the back, reading the words Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense (shame on anyone who thinks evil of it in English), Dieu Et Mon Droit (God and my Right) in a banner underneath and the inner back engraved with a presentation inscription. Signed movement.
