Elegant gold enamel verge pocket watch by Robert Underwood
–
An elegant, English gold enamel verge pocket watch studded with half pearls, circa 1810.
This 18-carat gold pocket watch has a particular allure: its back is decorated with floral engine-turned pattern and translucent green enamelling, the edges on the front and back show opaque pink-coloured enamelling. The watch is studded with half pearls on both sides. The dial is enamel with radial Arabic numerals and arrow hands. And it has a keywind full plate movement with chain/fusee, a three-arm steel balance, and a verge escapement.
