A fine English, 18 carat gold hunting cased pocket watch, from Cape Town, Africa, circa 1864. Gilt full plate movement with cylinder escapement, three arm balance, diamond end stone.
Guilloche dial with engraved centre, applied gilt Roman numerals, blued steel fleur de lys hands.
Engraved round dial with a small cartouche to the front with initials McK. Dial and movement signed, case stamped JV.
