A very fine French, early minute repeating, 18 Carat gold, a keyless pocket watch made for the Turkish market, circa 1830. A polished case, the bezel with engine turned decoration, polished band and the back cover engraved in a sun ray pattern. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Turkish secret signature, Turkish numerals, outer minute track. Gold Breguet hands. A matte gilt movement, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, plain three arm balance with parachute, blued steel Breguet balance spring with a terminal curve, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by depressing the button on the crown. Cuvette numbered.
