An extremely rare and fine English repoussé pair-cased verge watch, circa the early 18th century.
Gilt English full plate verge movement, pierced and engraved balance bridge. Two pair 18K gold cases: the outer case with repoussé high relief of extraordinary quality; and the inner case with hallmark: the initials LP crowned. Signed gold champlevé dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes with Arabic five minutes numerals, and probably original hands.
