Silver open faced pocket watch by James Watts
–
An interesting early English pair cased verge watch with rare enamel painting, circa 1703-1740.
Silver pair cases: 1st case watchpapers, 2nd case with weakly readable casemaker’s punch. Very decorated, signed verge movement with glazed bridge and worm gear. Decorative enamel dial in very beautiful condition with enamel painting in center, an unusual painting of a wanderer standing opposite a skeleton, painting signed “Thomas Osmond” and probably original Poker & Beetle steel hands.
