An English silver rare pair cased verge pocket watch, circa 1690.
Pair cases: silver outer case, covered with tortoiseshell, stud decoration and large lateral hinge; silver polished inner case. Enamel dial with radial Arabic numerals and filigree hands. Full plate movement, keywind, firegilt, applied engraved ornaments, signed, chain/fusee, tulip pillars, three-arm iron balance, blued balance spring, very finely engraved pierced balance cock with angel face.
