An English rare and attractive platinum and gold open faced watch with moon phases and date, circa 1904, half plate movement, lever escapement, bi metallic compensation balance, silver engine turned dial, chapter ring with circular satin finish and black enamel Roman numerals, outer perlé minute track, large aperture above 12 o’clock for moon phases and small sector for date on a gold disc at 6 o’clock, gold moon hands, gold engine turned case with bayonet fit back, the back turning to reveal the female winding square, platinum engine turned band, gold engine turned bezel, with gold double link Breguet style chain and ratchet key for winding, adjusting moon and date apertures, opposite female square for hand setting, movement signed, dial signed.
