An English gentleman’s pocket watch with cylinder escapement, circa 1820.
Silver polished case with engine-turned band, case maker punch mark “ID” and signed protective cap. Enamel dial with radial Roman numerals and spade hands. Full plate movement, keywind, gilt, with chain/fusee, square tapered pillars, cylinder escapement, brass escape wheel, three-arm steel balance, finely florally engraved pierced balance cock with grotesque face and set diamond endstone on balance.
