A rare and very large English gilt, enamel and pearl-set pair-cased coach clock made for the Chinese market circa 1780.
The outer case floral engraved, polychrome enamel painting on the back, the front set with green stones and pearls, smooth inner case. Original white enamel dial with Roman hours, Arabic minutes, subsidiary dial for the seconds and blued steel hands. Fire gilt verge movement, stoppable seconds. Movement signed and numbered, case numbered, matching numbers on the case and movement.
