A rare and fine English gilt and enamel verge pocket watch in pair cases, circa 1780.
Gilt engraved outer case, a polychrome enamel painting on the back depicting a warrior with a chariot, smooth inner case. White enamel dial with Roman hours, Arabic five-minute numerals and very fine gold poker & beetle hands. English verge movement, decorated bridge with a face and bird, the main plate signed and numbered.
