Rare gold full hunting cased chronograph

A fine and rare solid American 18 gold hunting cased keyless winding pocket watch with one horological complication, circa 1875.
Gilded brass ¾ plate movement, going barrel, English lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensated balance with screws and blued steel hairspring, two screwed chatons, index regulator, no motion train, the hours are independent of the minutes, hours driven directly from the barrel arbour, minutes from the centre wheel, chronograph work mounted under the dial.

White enamel Regulator type dial with an eccentric chapter at 3 o’clock for hours with radial Roman numerals and an eccentric chapter at 9 o’clock for seconds, central minutes with five-minute Arabic numerals, outermost chronograph scale, original blued steel hands, and one horological complication, – Chronograph activated by the single round push-piece located on the case band at 12 o’clock. This feature adds versatility to the watch, allowing for easy measurement of elapsed time.
Round-shaped 18 carat gold case, cover and case back polished, push pendant to open front, gold cuvette. push pendant to open front Case numbered, dial and movement signed.
