An English silver open faced key wind World War I military deck watch made by Daniel Buckney in London, circa 1886. The frosted gilt full plate movement with a lever escapement. The polished hinged case with a London Hallmark for 1886, issued from the Royal Observatory in Greenwich on June 7th, 1917. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel spade hands. Dial and movement signed, case stamped J.O., dial, case and movement numbered. Comes with an associated box for a later watch.
