A fine English pair cased repeating coach clock with alarm and date, circa 1750.
Exceptional polychrome enamel dial with Roman numerals in neo Gothic style, central alarm disc with Arabic numerals, date indicator at 12 and pierced, filigree enamelled hands. Full plate movement, applied, engraved, florally pierced decorations, verge escapement, firegilt, chain/fusee, 2 engraved barrels for striking and alarm train, 3 hammers, three armed brass balance, florally engraved, pierced balance cock. Silver and shagreen case, sound holes, large lateral hinge, pierced border, engraved wedding crest to the centre, rear bell, string for repetition. Movement signed.
