A very fine pair cased English silver verge pocket watch, circa 1732.
Two cases: outer case – silver, tiered, polished with large lateral hinge; inner case – silver, polished with case maker punch mark “WP”. Signed silver champlevé and finely engraved dial with inlaid radial Roman hours, Arabic minutes, applied gilt flower dots and Louis XVI hands. Full plate movement, firegilt, applied engraved florally pierced decorations, chain/fusee, baluster-shaped movement pillars, three-arm brass balance, florally engraved and pierced balance bridge with mascaron.
